I took Steff to see the kids' pediatrician about her finger yesterday. The ER doc said to take her back into the ER on Monday but Ryan and I figured we'd rather she see our pediatrician because he has always referred our kids to specialist if it's over his head and...it's a lot cheaper for a doctor's office visit than and emergency room visit...So, he took a look and so did I and things look good. She had minimal bleeding over the weekend and the wound looks clean and uninfected. Dr.Silas believes her nail will be saved...good news. He suggested we keep it wrapped and clean but that she is free to take baths and get it wet. I thought that was odd since I always thought you had to keep stitches dry. The visit was a short one and he wants to see her in two weeks to take the stitches out. One of the cutest things she has been saying any time you mention her finger to her is, "The doctor make it feel better." It never fails she says it every time. It's the cutest thing!!!
The rest of the family is doing well...Ryan and Kieran went to the Weber State football game on Saturday in spite of rain with snow mixed weather. They had a blast and Weber State won their first game of the season. I was supposed to go but I wasn't up for being wet and cold. I know I'm a wuss but I also figured dads and sons need time together without the rest of the family. It was a good memory for them.
Sadie and I are doing well with nothing new to report for either of us. She's still cut as a button and her birthday is coming really fast. I sent out the invitations for her party today so if you don't get yours, here are the details and let me know so I can get it resent out.
It will be Saturday, October 20th at 3pm at our house. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for all the love and support we've received throughout our time together as a family.
